LAUREN MOLINA is currently performing in ROCK OF AGES on Broadway,
performing the role of Regina. She originated the same role
Off-Broadway, when ROCK OF AGES began at New World Stages in the fall
of 2008. She also originated the role of the "cello playing" Johanna
in John Doyle's critically acclaimed Broadway Revival of SWEENEY TODD,
and the international tour, where she won a "Best Featured Actress"
award from the Independent Reviewers of New England.
She was a featured singer at "The Ladies Who Sing Sondheim" concert
with Barbara Cook and Patti Lupone at the Westport Playhouse. Some of
her favorite roles include Gwendolen in Ernest in Love, the Leopard
in Just So Stories, and a back-up singer for Sarah Brightman on her La
Luna tour. Lauren was honored to play a leading role in a reading of a
new play directed by John Cameron Mitchell called WIREHEADS. Other
favorite shows/workshops include REALITY!, IF YOU GIVE A PIG A
PANCAKE, HENRY, SWEET HENRY, and LITTLE MISS FIX-IT.
Backstage, Lauren along with her castmate Mitchell Jarvis, has created
a mocumentary style web series, called ROCK OF AGES PRODUCTIONS.

releasing her first album in 2007, entitled "Doo-Be-Doo" and is in the
process of writing a children's album. She can often be found singing
in New York's cabaret circuit. She has performed in various workshops
and master classes along with Broadway composers, colleagues, and New
York City Opera artists. She has also sung with the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra.
